Inspired To Change

Back in the day, I fancied myself as a real estate investor.  I hate to admit it but it took me longer than it should have to realize what a lousy gig it is to keep on fixing things up only to have tenants keep breaking them back down.  The one thing I’ll say was even though I grew to despise being a landlord, at the time, it was how I made my living and my parents didn't raise me to do something only half way.  I wanted to be good at it, which I guess is ultimately, why I got out.  Good is only half way.

The bottom line is I had to focus on improving myself.  I was filling my mind with Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, and Napoleon Hill.  One day Michael Gerber and his E-Myth showed up on my desk through a mailing by Nightingale Conant.  That day took me on a new course. My whole point of view on business and more importantly my life changed forever.....

In the Beginning...

Years pass.  Objectives change.  Time goes by and it is easy to forget about the journey traveled.  More than two decades ago, the American dream set its hook.  I decided I was an entrepreneur.    I had no clue what I was in for but the risk-taking adventurer in me got started.  There was reading books, studying achievers, craving success, growth, more life, more money, and more relationships. I've learned a few things along the way I plan to share with you through this blog.

How BarTouch Became 2TouchPOS

Our roots in the point of sale industry originate in a bar.  The idea started when Todd Puckett, a BEVINCO rep, and Steve Zigmund, one of our software developers, were talking over a few beers at a local watering hole called E-City in Mansfield Ohio.  They were discussing how great it would be for bar owners to have an easy-to-use and affordable point of sale system.

Zig, as we like to call him, was inspired; he brought the concept back to David Rose who mobilized the team to start on version 1.0 of what was then called BarTouch.  BarTouch wasn’t built in an ivory tower it’s the culmination of customer feedback over the past decade.  It works the way bar owners told us they wanted it to work, rather than us dictating to them.  The result is a software system that bar owners love!

Of course, over the years we have expanded our reach to include serving restaurants and nightclubs.  We have evolved our software the same way we built BarTouch, through our customers’ feedback.  Today we call it 2TouchPOS.  Its fast, easy and profitable to use.  Our customers love it and you will love it too.
